Nancy Lee, MSN, RN
Evidence Implementation Nurse Specialist
Nancy partners with nurse leaders and staff to assist with the creation and revision of evidence-based nursing policies, procedures, competencies, unit-based guidelines, protocols, and standards of care. In addition, she assists with educational programming related to EBP, and facilitates dissemination and uptake into practice of new knowledge and innovations by codifying successful projects into nursing policy and procedures. Nancy also serves as system administrator for the Department of Nursing policy/procedure content management system.
Christine Miaskowski, PhD, RN, FAAN
Adult Complex Care Nurse Scientist
Dr. Miaskowski provides expert consultation for nurse-led research across the UCSF Adult Care Health System (Ambulatory, Procedural, Inpatient, and Population Health). She is Professor and Vice-Chair for Research, American Cancer Society Clinical Research Professor, the Sharon A. Lamb Endowed Chair in Symptom Management Research, and Co-Director of the UCSF Pain and Addiction Research Center at the UCSF School of Nursing, Departments of Physiological Nursing and Anesthesia and Perioperative Care. Chris has extensive experience in the care of oncology patients and their family members. Her program of research focuses on the identification of demographic and clinical characteristics as well as biomarkers that place oncology patients at increased risk for a higher symptom burden so that individualized symptom management interventions can be implemented.
Sandra Staveski, PhD, RN, CPNP-AC, FAAN
Pediatric Complex Care Nurse Scientist
Dr. Staveski provides expert consultation for nurse-led research across the UCSF Pediatric/Family Care Health System (Ambulatory, Procedural, Inpatient, and Population Health). She is Assistant Professor at the UCSF School of Nursing, Department of Family Health Care Nursing. She is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who has extensive experience with the care of pediatric cardiac surgery patients and her program of research focuses on optimizing the care and outcomes for this patient population and their families.
Laura M. Wagner, PhD, RN, GNP, FAAN
Scholarship Development Specialist
Dr. Wagner is a faculty member in the School of Nursing and is working with nurses across UC Health to conduct nursing research. She is particularly interested in nursing research involving older adults, ambulatory and community settings, nursing workforce, and patient safety. She loves working with nurses and I love being a nurse!
